Feeling sad is what makes us human, but, if you are experiencing prolonged sadness, it may be a sign that there’s a deeper issue in need of your attention.
Do you sometimes feel that parts of you are fragmented and pulling in a lot of different directions?
Frequent power struggles with your children can be overwhelming and perpetuate a negative cycle to your ever growing relationship.
Do you find yourself in a finger-pointing, one-upping mode with your spouse or partner? Changing those communication skills and patterns can positively realign your relationship.
There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" approach to substance abuse...your therapy is designed to support your sobriety.
Anxiety
Dealing with excessive worry, intrusive thoughts, sleep disturbance, prolonged sadness, low self esteem, and disconnection to yourself can be really scary, lonely, and evoke a sense of feeling lost. Sometimes it can feel like parts of yourself are fragmented and pulling you in many different directions. Perhaps there are even times when you wonder, “Who am I?”
Depression
Feeling sad can be a natural reaction to having experienced trauma, personal challenges, grief, and dealing with life transitions. Feeling sad is what makes us human. However, if you are experiencing prolonged sadness, it may be a sign that there’s a deeper issue in need of your attention. Depression can make you feel hopeless, lonely, discouraged, and limited.
Self Esteem
Do you feel like you're dealing with a disconnection to yourself, or loss of self, can oftentimes make you feel very lonely, depressive, shameful, and lost. It can feel very socially isolating, as well as, isolating to oneself.
Substance Abuse
Some people are able to use recreational or prescription drugs without ever experiencing negative consequences or addiction. For many others, substance use can cause problems at work, home, school, and in relationships, leaving you feeling isolated, helpless, or ashamed.
