As a both a parent and a parenting coach, I understand how important it is to have your specific needs pertaining to your child heard and the appropriate level of guidance and support given.

 

The curriculum used for parenting and co-parenting classes is the Active Parenting Program, which was specifically designed by Dr. M.H. Popkin to target the promotion of positive, productive communication between parents and their children. Also of core focus within the program is building cooperation through mutual respect, in addition to developing responsible, thriving individuals.

 

The Active Parenting Program has been successfully used by parents of children ranging in age from three years to eighteen. The classes run cyclically and repeat every 11 weeks, affording everyone the opportunity to join the class at any point within the series. Each of the 11 classes is 90 minutes in length. Classes are currently held on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

 

Programs Offered:

 

 • 11 Week revolving parenting class (participants may enter at any time)

 • Focus on parenting strategies for children ranging from 3-years through adolescence

 • 11 Week revolving Co-Parenting class

 • Individual coaching sessions

 • In-Home visits with one-on-one behavioral strategy planning and monitoring
